More weight = greater chance of recurrence
Research indicates that the more weight a woman carries, the more likely breast cancer will recur, be more aggressive, and carry a worse prognosis. Registration Opens for the Ride to Empower
Are you ready for a challenge? Join us for Y-ME’s newest event, the Ride to Empower, and test your limits while you pay tribute to loved ones touched by breast cancer.
Y-ME’s Ride to Empower is a destination bike ride in Solvang, Calif., with route lengths ranging from a 100-mile century to less than 32 miles. The Ride will take October 23-26, 2008, with the century ride taking place on October 25.

Participate in the Sister Study
The Sister Study is a nationwide effort to learn how our environment and genes affect the chances of getting breast cancer. The study’s goal is to discover how our environment and our genes may affect the chances of getting breast cancer.
