In addition to identifying the type of breast cancer, doctors classify breast cancers in a variety of different ways. Some of these describe biologic characteristics of the tumor, others relate to the behavior of the cancer.  An accurate, complete, and precise diagnosis is critical to determining the appropriate treatment for your cancer and details will appear in your pathology report.  A few things to help you understand your diagnosis include:

Breast Cancer Staging

Hormone Receptor Status

Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Genetic Testing and Molecular Profiling

Lymph Node Involvement
