"Inspirational Stories of Strength: Five Dynamic Individuals Touched by Breast Cancer"
![]()
About the Call
Feel the network of strength. We'll take you on a
breast cancer journey as experienced by five
individuals touched by the disease. Although
their stories are different, common themes link
them all: hope, strength and overcoming the
challenges of breast cancer. Join us for a
discussion with people who have walked in your
shoes. We will touch on topics such as male
breast cancer, being single with cancer, having
children after treatment, the African-American
experience, living with advanced cancer and
coping with risk.
In honor of Y-ME's 30th anniversary, this special call will include a longer question and answer section so you have the chance to interact with the speakers.
About the Speaker
Five dynamic speakers will share their stories. Jim is a
male breast cancer survivor who also supported his wife
through the disease. Donna is living with advanced breast
cancer and its chronic effects.
Kyle was first diagnosed as a young single woman and
went on to have three children before her second
diagnosis. Dorothy shares the African-American
perspective and the challenges that face her community.
Polly underwent prophylactic mastectomies due to a
strong family history.
