Y-ME is thrilled to be extending our programs and services within Southern California. We started our first Orange County A Day For You program at Eve Medical Center in Buena Park. Look at our Calendar page for more details on this exciting community program.
Volunteer Spotlight-November
A sincere thank you goes out to all of our talented, passionate and dedicated volunteers.
Donna, an employee of McDonald’s, has participated on Team McDonald’s in the San Diego Walk to Empower for the past two years. Shortly after participating in the 2006 Walk, Donna was diagnosed with breast cancer. When she home from the doctor, Donna logged onto her computer and noticed she had an email from the Y-ME thanking her for her participation in the Walk to Empower. 
She read the email and clicked on the link for Y-ME’s homepage where she found answers to her various questions regarding her diagnosis. The information from the website helped Donna take control of her diagnosis and she was prepared to talk about next steps with her physician.
Donna has been a source of inspiration to many of the employees on Team McDonald’s. In 2007 the team raised $40,000 to help those, like Donna, who cannot wait for tomorrow’s cure.
Y-ME recognizes Donna for her outstanding contribution to the organization!

A Star Is Born!
Dikla Benzeevi, a member of our Board of Directors, was honored as a breast cancer champion hero and was recognized at the October 16th Lifetime Movie Premiere of “Matters of Life & Dating.” At the event, Dikla eloquently shared her story of breast cancer and survival…what an inspiration to young women everywhere!
