New Breast Cancer Book Hits Bookstores for October

Y-ME volunteer and breast cancer survivor Karen Dohman recently published “If Only I Could Laugh About…My Booby and Me.” It follows the adventures of T.B., aka Temporary Breast, as well as other characters, like the Evil Expander. Karen hopes her book will enable breast cancer patients and survivors to once again find laughter in their lives. “I know it may not be easy, but laughter truly can be the best medicine of all, “she says.

When Karen faced her own battle with breast cancer, she was devastated. “I cried every day for over a week until I was so tired of crying,” she says. At the time, she thought to herself, “If only I could laugh about all this.” When she was finally cancer-free, she was determined to help others escape from the burdens of breast cancer. “My mission,” Karen says, “is to bring back the smiles and laughter that breast cancer has stolen away.”

Get your copy today! You can purchase “If Only I Could Laugh About…My Booby and Me” at Borders bookstores or call Debra Johnson at 713-624-7155. Proceeds from the book benefit Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization.
