Paint the Town Pink™
Each year, hundreds of retail outlets and banks participate in the Paint the Town Pink™ program to raise awareness about breast cancer and to promote Y-ME’s Hotline and other important resources and services for those touched by breast cancer.
Tellers and cashiers can sell pink ribbons at point-of-purchase for $1 by asking customers if they would like to support Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization. Pink ribbons can then be posted for customers to see within the establishment, creating a very visual in-store display, and the promotion usually runs for four to six weeks leading up to the RACE.
At the end of the promotion, the company submits proceeds to Y-ME, then communicating the good news, including the total raised, to staff and the community. Paint the Town Pink™ is a wonderful way to build upon a corporate sponsorship of the Y-ME RACE, or to make a donation, at no cost to the company.
Y-ME will help you every step of the way!
The Paint the Town Pink™ program is easy and lots of fun for companies to implement. Y-ME will supply the pink ribbon mobiles and promotional materials for employees. Y-ME will also attend manager or staff meetings to help explain the promotion to employees.
